Microwave looking (and smelling) less than fresh?
You don’t need harsh chemicals — just a lemon, some water, and a few minutes.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Prepare the Lemon
Cut a fresh lemon in half. Squeeze the juice into a microwave-safe bowl, then drop the lemon halves in too.

2. Add Water
Fill the bowl halfway with water.

3. Microwave
Place the bowl in the microwave. Heat on high for 3–5 minutes, until the water is boiling and steam fills the microwave.

4. Let the Steam Work
Leave the door closed for another 5 minutes to loosen any dried-on food.

5. Wipe Clean
Carefully remove the bowl (it will be hot) and wipe the inside of the microwave with a clean cloth or sponge. The grime should come off easily.

Tips:
- Add a few drops of vinegar for extra deodorizing.
- Repeat monthly to keep your microwave fresh.
